Shotton I.T. Resource Centre, with its warm and welcoming ambiance, is the ideal place to study anything from basic computing to more complex technical I.T. courses. Learning is offered in a variety of ways:-

Registered Centre

We are a registered Centre for BCS accreditation in IT courses at Levels 1 and 2.

The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) course is an internationally accredited IT qualification through the British Computer Society which covers the following modules:

All learning is delivered online including the modular tests which enable our learners to know their results immediately. This online learning offers our learners the opportunity to learn from the comfort of their homes if they have access to the Internet and their I.T. equipment is of the necessary specification to run this course. City & Guilds

We are a registered Test Centre for City & Guilds accreditation in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Levels 1 and 2.

For those who do not wish to do formal learning, we offer one-to-one tuition in selected courses and, for the terrified who have never used a computer before, there's an excellent introductory course - "Computers Don't Bite" as well as "Learn My Way" with progression to UK Online Plus.

Another example of one-to-one tuition is instruction on Internet use for people who would like to shop, look for holidays or do research for a particular pastime. We can also assist in setting up email addresses.
