The I.T. Centre is staffed by two part-time Adult Support Workers - Judi Briggs and Clare Bricklebank. The Centre is also assisted by our volunteer, currently Dan Spurway.
From time to time volunteers have worked within the Centre to gain experience in their studies. They have found the experience of working with different age groups in the Centre has helped them to gain employment or has raised their confidence to seek employment.
Judi, Clare and Dan will make you feel at ease and ensure your learning experience is stress free. They have been trained to assist you throughout your learning. Judi and Clare are qualified to Level 3 PTLLS standard and each have completed the Adult Support Level 2 award; and both of whom hold the NCFE Level 3 qualification in Counselling Skills and Theory. Clare is also qualified as a Level 2 Communicator for the Deaf.
Staff development is considered vital for the success of the I.T. Centre and, not only have the staff and volunteers undertaken training and courses to update their skills, but so have our Board Members. So that we can not only provide educational assistance but also emotional well being and lifestyle support to our beneficiaries, our staff members have undertaken the following courses:
- PTLLS qualifications
- Welfare Champions Training
- Mental Health First Aid Training
- ASIST Suicide First Aid Training
- Cancer Awareness Training
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Safeguarding Revision Training
Our friendly members of staff pride themselves on giving learners the information and advice which will guide them to their goals.
Why not give Judi, Clare or Dan a ring or drop in and see for yourself.
